Tag You're It!

**this is my 2nd post of the day! please check out Day 2 of the November Newton's Nook release by scrolling down or click here for easy access!!**

Hello!

Today I have a post up on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog again!

This is by no way, a new idea, but I thought it would be SO FUN to create these little festive tags (or ornaments!) with some adorable Sweet Stamp Shop images! You could also easily make these for a birthday, anniversary, wedding or any kind of celebration! Just change up the image!

All I did was decorate some cute little wood slices with gesso, watercolor and of course, Sweet images!

I originally saw them as tags on gifts, but they could easily be used to hang on your Christmas tree as ornaments, too!

Thanks again for stopping by! And be sure to check out my post up on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!
Enjoy!

Newton's Nook Designs November Release - Simply Seasonal

today is day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs November Release! woo!!

today, the whole DT is showcasing the super awesome Jolly Tags stamp and coordinating die set!! you'll see just how much fun these tags are to create with!! they're awesome!
you can totally use this to scrapbook, create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on November 13th, right here!

for my first card, i almost made a one layer!

unheard of, i know!! ha!
I used the tree image and stamped in various blues and greens of Distress inks.
LOVE creating my own patterned paper that way!

then i stamped the greeting by combining multiple phrases from the set! easy peasy!! LOOOOVE that saying too! it's perfect for Christmas cards!!

my second card has a little more pizzazz! lol!

i used two different Heidi Color Shine spray mists to create the background (a teal and a mint green!).
once it was dry, i used a scripty stencil and some white embossing paste to add the texture! soooo pretty!

the tag was created by repeating the phrase 'happy holiday's' in a grey ink, then heat embossing in black the bold happy on some vellum! i fussy cut it out and layered it on top! that gold sparkly ribbon on the tag is the icing on the cake!

for my first card, i decided to think outside the tag!

see what i did there? ha!
i colored the santa image with copics and then fussy cut around him and made him the focal point of my card! so much fun!

for the background, i used some white embossing paste, and a cute Tim Holtz sweater-thing type stencil! i love the look of white on white!

my second project is an actual tag!

i used the die set to cut out the tag and the copic colored that cute cute cute snowman!! i LOVE him!! and those greens and blues rock for winter, especially with the pop of red!!

it could easily be popped onto the front of a card, or just kept as the adorable little tag that it is! :)

Sweet Holiday Bookmarks with Kids!

Hello!
I have a fun project I made with my little Menn and some Sweet Stamp Shop stamps over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog today! :) They're little (personalized!) bookmark buddies!

The boys had a BLAST playing with the different accessories! Kids love anything that have a picture of themselves, right? ha!

Those little reindeer antlers and the mustache totally crack me up! The best part is, the stickers are removable, so they can continue to play with the images!

Be sure to head over to the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to see how you can make these quick and easy bookmark buddies too!
Enjoy!

Lawnscaping Challenge #117 - Thinking of You

oh yeah! it's a new week!
it's a new month! (by the way...November is here...HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!)
sigh.

anyway, it's the start of a new Lawnscaping Challenge! and this is a perfect challenge to show someone how much you think of them! :)

see? i told you!
we want to see you make your best thinking of you card! that can include hello, encouragement, etc! and we all know Lawn Fawn has some of the best sentiments around for this task!

i used three different sets on my card! those clouds from Starry Backdrops are my all time favorite shape cloud! so i cut and colored them with copics about 100 times! lol!

i added a splash of blue watercolor in the background with some Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) and the packaging technique! once it was dry, i heat embossed the sentiment from Love You a Latte!
and to add just a little but of extra whimsy, i added that cute little face to one of the clouds from Let's Roll! :)

so that's my project! are you ready to play along?
for even more inspiration (if you can stand it!), check out the lawnscaping facebook page! we're dedicated to keeping your creative juices flowing! :)

this week we're sponsored by a brand new sponser for the Lawnscaping Challenge - Ellen Hutson! so get your card making on, and you could win a $25 gift certificate! hello!! :)
